The Chefs à Saint-Tropez Fêtent les Producteurs (Chefs in Saint-Tropez Celebrate Producers) event may only be a year old but has already established itself as unmissable. Following on from last year’s success, the event returns from May 6thto 8th for a weekend of a thousand flavours. It’s also an opportunity to see chef Philippe Colinet of our restaurant Colette in action!
The concept behind Chefs in Saint-Tropez Celebrate Producers
This unique event aims to bring together great chefs, including some who have three stars such as Arnaud Donckele, and local producers and artisans. A large producers' market is held in the Place des Lices, providing an opportunity for many chefs from the region and all over France to express their talent and vision, create, and compose, as well as challenge themselves. The whole weekend will be a feast of live cooking, chef contests and workshops, not to mention a prestigious four-handed dinner and a convivial banquet.
Philippe Colinet and his favourite producers; it’s all about trust
The chef of the Colette, Philippe Colinet, is participating for the second consecutive year in this Saint-Tropez event. This is fully in keeping with his passionate approach to sourcing produce and ingredients for his vegetable-oriented and refined cuisine, which is always about establishing a relationship of trust with producers. Thus, on May 7th, you can attend Philippe’s live cooking demonstration on the Place des Lices from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. His performance will, of course, be followed by a tasting!
